Zynta affiliate program: 25% commission for 12 months
The Zynta affiliate program is for people who recommend Zynta in their own content or to their clients: social media creators and consultants. You apply in the dashboard, Zynta approves you, you get a link, and every person who creates an account through that link and subscribes to a plan earns you a commission. Below I go through the rules one by one, with the numbers from the code that calculates the payouts.
Why cash and not credits?
Zynta already had a referral program that pays in credits, open to any account: whoever signs up through your link gets 60 credits, and you get 30 once that person exports their first piece of content. It still exists, and it fits someone who refers a colleague now and then.
An affiliate is a different case. It's someone who recommends Zynta as part of their work, and for that person credits don't pay the bills. So the affiliate program pays a percentage of real revenue, in cash, and joining requires approval.
The rules
How much you earn
25% of what the customer is charged for the plan, excluding taxes and after any coupon or discount, in US dollars. Stripe processing fees are paid by Zynta and don't come out of your commission.
At list prices, with no coupon and no tax, that works out to this per month:
| Customer's plan | Monthly price | Your commission per month |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | US$19 | US$4.75 |
| Studio | US$49 | US$12.25 |
| Agency | US$99 | US$24.75 |
| Scale | US$249 | US$62.25 |
Free trials, zero-value charges and one-off credit packs don't earn commission.
For how long
12 calendar months from each customer's first payment. The window keeps running: if the customer cancels and comes back within it, the commission resumes until the end of that same window, and months without a payment don't extend it.
The rate and the window are locked at each customer's first commission. If your rate changes later, the change applies only to new customers.
Annual plans
Zynta's annual plan costs 10 months and gives you 12. The commission on an annual plan is divided by the months it covers, in monthly installments, and each installment leaves the hold one month at a time. I chose this on purpose: paying a full year of commission upfront and then asking for it back when the customer cancels in month two is the fastest way to ruin a relationship with an affiliate.
Hold, reversals and payment
- 30-day hold after each charge, which is the period when refunds and disputes show up.
- Reversals: a refund or a dispute cancels the commission on that charge, in proportion to the amount returned. If the commission was already paid, the amount comes out of your next payout.
- Payouts start at US$50 of released balance.
- Manual payment, in batches, made by the Zynta team, with no fixed date yet. Partners in Brazil are paid by PIX against a service invoice (nota fiscal). Everywhere else, payment is by international transfer.
- Taxes on what you receive are your responsibility.
The dashboard shows what's released, what's on hold and what has already been paid.
How a customer gets tied to you
Only through your link, at signup. The person opens the link and creates the account. The code is confirmed on first login, up to 7 days after signup, and only on an account that doesn't have a subscription yet. An account that already existed, or one that signed up without the link, won't be tied to you later at your request.
The one exception: Zynta can link an account created up to 30 days earlier that has never paid, with the customer's written consent. An account that has already paid is never linked. And each customer is tied to only one partner.
What isn't allowed
- Running paid ads that use the Zynta brand, Zynta Flow or close variations.
- Referring yourself, a second account of yours, your own company's account or someone who was already a customer.
- Promoting a coupon or discount that doesn't exist.
- Spam: mass DMs, bought email lists or WhatsApp groups.
- Fraud: fake signups, someone else's card or paying people to sign up.
A violation cancels the commissions it generated and can end your participation.
How to join, step by step
- Create your Zynta account.
- In your account menu, open Affiliates and agency partners.
- Choose the affiliate program (the panel describes it as being for creators, consultants and people who recommend Zynta in their own content) and click Apply to join.
- Wait for approval. Zynta reviews applications one by one, and the decision shows up in the dashboard.
- Once approved, copy your link from the dashboard and use it in your content.
- Track your customers and your commissions on hold, released and paid in the same dashboard.
If you run an agency and bring clients into Zynta, the right program is the agency partnership, with a different rate and a different term. I explained it in Zynta for agencies.
Changes to the program
Zynta can change the terms or the rates, or end the program, with 30 days' notice. A customer who has already generated commission keeps the locked rate and window. You can leave whenever you want, and your released balance is still paid. The full terms are at zyntaflow.com/partner-terms.
Frequently asked questions about the Zynta affiliate program
How much does the Zynta affiliate program pay?
Affiliates earn 25% of what each referred customer pays for their plan, excluding taxes and after coupons, for 12 months from that customer's first payment. On a monthly Studio plan at US$49 with no coupon, that comes to US$12.25 per month for each customer you bring in.
How do I join the Zynta affiliate program?
Create a Zynta account, open Affiliates and agency partners in the account menu, choose the affiliate program and submit your application. Joining requires approval: Zynta reviews each request, and the answer shows up in the dashboard. Once you're approved, your referral link shows up in the same dashboard, ready to copy.
When is the affiliate commission paid?
Each commission sits in a 30-day hold, the period for refunds and disputes. After that, it moves to your released balance. Payment is manual, in batches, with no fixed date, from US$50 of released balance: by PIX against an invoice for partners in Brazil, and by international transfer everywhere else.
How does commission on an annual plan work?
The annual amount is divided by the months it covers, and the commission becomes monthly installments. Each installment leaves the hold in a different month. That way, if the customer cancels and gets a refund, Zynta doesn't have to ask you to return a full year of commission.
Affiliate or credit referral: what's the difference?
Credit referral is open to any account and pays in credits: 60 for the person who signs up and 30 for the person who referred them. The affiliate program requires approval and pays in cash, 25% of what the customer pays for 12 months. Both programs run at the same time.
Can I refer someone who already uses Zynta?
No. A customer is tied to you only when they create the account through your link. Existing accounts aren't linked later, with one exception: accounts up to 30 days old that have never paid, with the customer's written consent. An account that has already paid is never linked.
Can I run ads for Zynta with my affiliate link?
You can promote Zynta in your content, but you can't run paid ads that use the Zynta brand, Zynta Flow or close variations. Referring yourself, promoting a coupon that doesn't exist, spamming and any kind of fraud in signup or payment are also prohibited.
