AI Reels script generator: hook, scenes and caption
An AI Reels script in Zynta is a short document that tells you what to say, what to show on screen and how long each part lasts. The AI writes it from an idea and your brand kit, and you record it. Below I show what comes in the script, where to generate it, what it costs and what it doesn't do.
The hard part is knowing what to record
Whoever gets stuck on Reels usually gets stuck before the camera: what's the hook, how long does each part take, what goes on screen, how does it end. Without those answers, you improvise while recording and then dig through the footage to edit.
I heard this up close. A business owner I know pays a social media team that delivers ideas and scripts for him to record and for the designer to produce. The script is the piece that gets everything else moving. That's what I wanted inside Zynta: the script as its own step, tied to the idea and to the calendar.
What's in a Zynta Reels script?
Each script includes:
- Format: talking to camera, voiceover with visuals, tutorial, POV or story, list, or before and after.
- Goal: reach, community or conversion.
- Target length: between 15 and 90 seconds.
- Hook: the spoken line (up to 15 words), the on-screen text (up to 8 words) and what appears in the first frame. You also get two alternative hooks, each built on a different formula. Swapping in one of them costs nothing.
- Scenes: 3 to 12, timed in seconds starting from zero. Each scene has the line to say, the on-screen text (up to 10 words, on 2 lines), the shot type (talking to camera, B-roll, screen recording, product or text card), direction and energy. At most half the scenes can be text cards.
- CTA: send it to someone, save, comment a word, follow or go to the link in bio.
- Ending: a loop, a twist or a CTA.
- Audio: original voice, trending audio or background music. The AI doesn't suggest song names.
- Cover text: up to 6 words.
- Caption: up to 3 hashtags and no emojis.
- Production: whether your face needs to appear, which props to use and an estimate of recording minutes.
The instructions given to the AI forbid making up facts. Where a piece of information is missing, it leaves a bracketed gap like [price] or [client name] for you to fill in. I prefer a gap to a fake number.
If the script asks viewers to comment a word, you can connect that to an automation in the Instagram automation flow builder and deliver the material by DM.
Three ways to generate a script
From Ideas
- Open Ideas.
- On a card tagged as a Reel, click Write script · 15 credits.
- The script opens in the Reels script window. After that, the same button becomes View script.
From the Calendar
- In Calendar, click Plan with AI, pick Instagram and check Include Reels. About one in three posts in the plan becomes a Reel.
- Open a video post. The Reel script panel shows the Write script · 15 credits button.
- To see the whole month with brief, caption and script, use Month brief. You can copy it as text or save it as a PDF.
The plan doesn't write the scripts on its own. It marks which posts are Reels, and you ask for each script when you want it.
From the Create screen
- Open Create and pick the Reel script card.
- Write what the Reel is about (up to 200 characters) and, if you want, the details (up to 1,000).
- Click Write script · 15 credits.
This script is saved as a Reel idea on the Ideas board. You need to have a brand selected before generating.
What can you do with the script?
In the script window you can copy the full script as running text (handy for a teleprompter), copy just the caption, or click Write again. From Ideas, you also get the option to create a carousel from the same idea, so one topic can work in a second format.
How much does a Reels script cost?
Each script costs 15 credits, charged to the brand. Opening a script you already generated and swapping the hook for one of the alternatives cost nothing. Write again charges again. If generation fails, the credits come back.
What the Reels script doesn't do
- Zynta delivers the script; recording and editing the Reel stay with you.
- The language follows the brand. The script comes out in the brand kit's main language (Portuguese, English or Spanish). There's no per-script language choice.
- Planning Reels from the calendar works for Instagram only.
- A post without a brand doesn't get a script. In the calendar, the post has to be linked to a brand and be a video post.
- Only the brand owner and editors can generate scripts. People with view access can only read them.
Frequently asked questions about Zynta's Reels script generator
What is the Zynta Flow Reels script generator?
It's an AI-written script built from an idea and your brand kit. It includes a hook with two alternatives, 3 to 12 scenes timed by the second, on-screen text, shot type, a CTA, cover text, a caption and an estimate of how long recording will take.
How much does it cost to generate a Reels script?
Each script costs 15 credits from the brand's balance. Opening a script you already generated and swapping the hook for one of the two alternatives are both free. Generating again charges you a second time. If generation fails, the credits go back to the account.
Does Zynta create the Reel video?
No. Zynta writes the script for you to record: what to say, what to show and how long each scene lasts. It doesn't record or edit the video. Separately, Editor Pro turns a carousel's slides into a vertical video, but that feature doesn't use the Reels script.
What language is the script written in?
The brand kit's main language: Portuguese, English or Spanish. If the brand has no language set, the script comes out in English. There's no per-script language choice, so if you need a script in another language, change the brand's language before generating it.
AI Reels script or writing it by hand: when does AI make sense?
It makes sense when you have the idea but get stuck on structure: the hook, how long each part runs, the on-screen text and the ending. The script gives you that structure in seconds. Specific facts like prices and names stay in brackets for you to fill in, because the AI isn't allowed to invent them.
Can I plan several Reels at once?
Yes. In Calendar, Plan with AI for Instagram with Include Reels checked marks about one in three posts as a Reel. Then you open each video post and generate its script. The Month brief shows all the scripts together, and you can copy it or save it as a PDF.
Where is the script saved?
A script generated from Ideas stays on the idea card. One generated from the Calendar stays on the post. One generated from the Create screen becomes a Reel idea on the Ideas board. In all three cases, you can reopen the script later without paying for it again.
